almanac

meridian is a navigation instrument. it takes a continuous fix on a single token on the solana chain and renders, in real time, the smallest set of crossed observations that can locate that token: the altitude of its price, the depth of its liquidity, the distribution of its holders, and the direction of its flow.

the project takes its name from the line a navigator crosses at noon to learn how far north or south he has come. a meridian is not a place. it is the instant at which a moving thing can be fixed against something that does not move. this site is the instant, held open and refreshed, for one token.

the archive is in four parts. overview is the live fix, reduced from the four sightings and refreshed every ten seconds. almanac is this document. instrument describes the data the readings are built from and what can and cannot be known from the public record. reduction is the deep reading: a structural essay on the four sightings, accompanied by five figures reconstructed from the last fourteen days of on-chain data.

nothing here is advice. nothing here predicts a price. the fix is a description of a position, not a forecast of the next one. where the record is silent, the instrument shows a single dash and says nothing further, because a missing sighting is a fact and a fabricated one is a fault. it does not guess. it only sights.
